It’s a Wrap: IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge Season

MOORESVILLE, NC – October 11, 2017 –

The IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge season wrapped up at Road Atlanta this past weekend. The season debuted the all new Ford Mustang GT4, which was unveiled at the 2016 SEMA show in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Ford Mustang GT4, participated in Grand Sport (GS) class and earned three wins and three poles during the 2017 season. KohR Motorsports, Multimatic Motorsports and VOLT Racing teams competed hard all season.

Ford Mustang GT4 debut at Daytona International Speedway, Multimatic Motorsports No. 15.

Powered by the Mustang 5.2L V8 race engine.

The No. 59 KohR Motorsports team, piloted by Dean Martin started the season by winning the pole position at Daytona, in the first endurance challenge of the season.

The No. 60 KohR Motorsports GT4 team swept Sebring, winning the teams second pole of the season with Jade Buford in the drivers seat.

Watkins Glen, NY – Jack Roush Jr. and Dean Martin won the Continental Tire 120 at the Glen and marked Roush Yates Engines’ 300th overall motorsports win. 

Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI was the site of the third win of the season for KohR Motorsports.

Jack Roush Jr. sat on the pole for the third time in the season at the Virginia International Raceway, in the No. 59 Ford Mustang GT4.
