LAS VEGAS, NV – October 21, 2024 – Joey Logano won Sunday’s South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, advancing to the NASCAR Cup Series Championship 4. The victory marks Ford’s 738th all-time in Cup Series competition along with Team Penske’s 99th series win with Ford. Currently, Logano has the most Championship 4 appearances of any driver with six and will compete for his third title this year at Phoenix.

“Congratulations to Roger, Tim, Paul, Joey and everyone at Team Penske on the race win at Las Vegas,” said Doug Yates, President and CEO of Roush Yates Engines. “The No. 22 team was fast throughout the day, executed their fuel mileage strategy, and now will be racing for the NASCAR Cup Championship in Phoenix.”

“Holy cow. What an incredible turn of events the last week. What a very fast Pennzoil Mustang. We’ve got the old kids crew here today and a lot of kids rooting us on, so it was really special to win in front of them again. My kids at home, I wish you guys were out here, but we’re going to the Championship 4 again. I don’t know what the deal is with the even year thing, but maybe it’s real. Thanks to the fans out here. Thanks to Roush Yates Engines for making great fuel mileage, great calls by Paul and Nick Hensley, our gas man, making sure she’s full, giving me the good info I need to save fuel and keep the lead that we needed to. Boy, we’re going racing again. What an incredible situation. I’m so blessed,” commented Logano.

In Sunday’s 267-lap race, six of the eight playoff drivers started in the top 10, including Team Penske’s Joey Logano in P10. With 16 laps to go in Stage 1, an accident in Turn 3 brought out the first caution of the race, creating multiple pit strategies throughout the field. While some teams opted for track position, others opted for new tires. An accident on lap 89 involving multiple playoff drivers brought out the caution again, putting several drivers in a must-win situation to advance to the Round of 4. At the end of Stage 2, RFK Racing’s Chris Buescher finished in P4 with Team Penske’s Joey Logano right behind in P5. While most of the front-runners pitted for fuel under green, several drivers decided to stretch their fuel to the finish, led by Daniel Suarez and Joey Logano. Logano began closing the gap on Suarez with 10 laps remaining and took the lead with six laps to go. Logano held off Christopher Bell to win the race by 0.662 seconds, automatically advancing to the Championship 4, something he has done every other year since the format’s debut in 2014.

RFK Racing’s Chris Buescher finished in P10.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series also raced at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Saturday. RSS Racing’s Ryan Sieg finished in P2 and Stewart-Haas Racing teammates Riley Herbst and Cole Custer finished in P7 and P8.

The NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series both compete this weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Florida.

RIDGEWAY, VA – November 4, 2024 – Team Penske’s Ryan Blaney won Sunday’s Xfinity 500, earning a spot in the NASCAR Cup Series Championship Round of 4 alongside teammate Joey Logano. This weekend’s win marked Blaney’s third win of the season, 13th of his career, and 100th NASCAR Cup Series win with Ford for Team Penske.

“Congratulations to Roger, Jonathan, Ryan, and everyone at Team Penske on the race win at Martinsville and advancing to the Championship 4,” said Doug Yates, President and CEO of Roush Yates Engines. “Ryan’s victory is a testament to his talent, dedication, and the team effort at Team Penske and Ford Performance. 100 wins at the NASCAR Cup level is a significant milestone and our team is proud to power 73 of these.”

“Yeah, a lot of momentum. It’s nice to have two Penske cars in. It’s nice to join the 22 and have a decent shot to bring Roger another title, a third title in a row, so these guys are the best at what they do and it’s been so much fun to get to run with them and share wins and championships. It’s super strong right now in our organization and hopefully it carries over,” commented Blaney.

Three Ford Performance drivers started Sunday’s race in the top 10: Stewart-Haas Racing’s Chase Briscoe in P4, Wood Brothers Racing’s Harrison Burton in P6, and Stewart-Haas Racing’s Ryan Preece in P8. Stage 1 ended with five Ford Performance drivers in the top-10: Stewart-Haas Racing’s Chase Briscoe and Ryan Preece in P3 and P4, Team Penske’s Ryan Blaney and Joey Logano in P5 and P9, and RFK Racing’s Brad Keselowski in P10.

Brad Keselowski won the second stage of the race, holding off Team Penske’s Ryan Blaney. Keselowski took the lead from Blaney following a restart on Lap 203 and maintained it until the end of the stage on lap 261. After a caution on lap 398, Chase Elliott and Ryan Blaney pitted from the front of the pack for four tires, while Denny Hamlin took two tires and William Byron and Kyle Larson stayed out. With less than 100 laps remaining in the race, Larson and Byron restarted on the front row with Elliott, Blaney and Hamlin in the Top 10 on new tires. Blaney passed Chase Elliott for the lead on Lap 486 of 500 and pulled away to win by 2.593 seconds. AVONDALE, AZ – November 11, 2024 – Team Penske’s Joey Logano won Sunday’s Championship race at Phoenix Raceway, marking his 36th career NASCAR Cup Series victory, fourth of the year, and his fourth at Phoenix. This win also marks the first time Ford has won the NASCAR Cup Series title three years in a row (Logano in 2022, Blaney in 2023, and Logano in 2024) and the first time that has been achieved by Team Penske. Logano is the first Ford driver to win at least three Cup Series championships and the 10th driver in NASCAR history, joining fellow three-time winners Tony Stewart, Cale Yarborough, Darrell Waltrip, David Pearson and Lee Petty; four-time champion Jeff Gordon; and seven-time champions Jimmie Johnson, Dale Earnhardt and Richard Petty.

“Congratulations to Roger, Tim, Paul, Joey, and everyone at Team Penske on a 1-2 finish at Phoenix and the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Championship!,” said Doug Yates, President and CEO of Roush Yates Engines. “Both of the Team Penske cars were fast throughout the race and Joey did an amazing job on that last restart. We’re proud to have powered three NASCAR Cup Series Championships in a row, and it’s an honor to stand alongside such a talented and hardworking team.”

“I love the playoffs. I love it, man. What a race. What a Team Penske battle there at the end. I had a good restart and was able to get in front of the 12. He had a lot of long run speed there and that was all I had there to hold him off. We have three of them. That’s really special. What a team to fight through today. We went through a little bit of adversity in throughout the race. I can’t thank Ford enough and Shell and Pennzoil and Hunt Brother’s Pizza. Paul Wolfe, what a crew chief I have. I’ve got the best team. I don’t know if I’m the best driver, but I’ve got the best team and together we’re very well-rounded and can show up when it matters the most. We’ve got a mentally tough team that can make things happen when it matters,” commented Logano.

Team Penske’s Joey Logano started Sunday’s race for the championship in P2 with teammate and fellow championship contender Ryan Blaney in P17. On lap 10, Logano took the lead and held on to win Stage 1. Following pit stops during the caution, Logano fell to fifth with teammate Ryan Blaney just ahead. Blaney passed Christopher Bell for the lead on lap 178 to win Stage 2. The race only had two cautions for incidents, the first on lap 2 and the second on lap 250. The yellow flag for the second caution waved with only seven cars on the lead lap – three of which were Championship 4 contenders – Blaney, Logano and Reddick. Byron stayed out during the caution period to restart from the lead with fresh tires. Logano took the lead for the final time after gaining four spots in two laps on the final restart with 52 laps remaining, passing teammate Ryan Blaney and Christopher Bell. Logano was able to hold off Blaney in the closing laps and won by 0.330 seconds for a 1-2 finish for Team Penske. Since NASCAR introduced the elimination style playoffs, Logano is the only three-time champion (2018, 2022, and 2024). Team owner Roger Penske’s organization scored its third consecutive Cup championship, having won all three titles since NASCAR introduced the Next Gen car in 2022.

A total of three Ford Performance drivers finished in the top-10: Team Penske’s Joey Logano in P1, Team Penske’s Ryan Blaney in P2, and RFK Racing’s Chris Buescher in P9.

The Xfinity Series also raced for the Championship at Phoenix on Saturday, with Stewart-Haas Racing’s Cole Custer in contention. Teammate Riley Herbst started the race from P3 and Custer started in P7. After taking the lead on lap 10, Herbst won Stage 1 and Stage 2 of the race. After 2 overtime restarts, Herbst passed Justin Allgaier for the race win, while Justin Allgaier won the NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship and Cole Custer finished second.

“I knew we were going to have a fast race car. These guys have been working on this Phoenix car as if we were in the playoffs. I knew we were going to be really fast. It has been a really tough week this past week at the shop and a lot of really emotional people. This place has been home for a lot of people for a long time, including myself and it has built me into who I am the last four years. I am grateful to every man and woman at Stewart-Haas Racing. They gave me a really fast car today and we capitalized on it. I can’t thank Monster Energy enough and everyone on the 98 team. They deserve to win. That is a championship caliber team and crew chief. I wish we could have cleaned some stuff up over the last summer but I am proud of these guys and we will see what next year has,” commented Riley Herbst.

Logano becomes the third Ford driver to win multiple All-Star races, joining Davey Allison and Mark Martin. In total, Ford has won the NASCAR All-Star Race 14 times and twice in the last three seasons.

“Congratulations to Roger, Tim, Paul, Joey, Ford Performance, and everyone at Team Penske on the All-Star race win at North Wilkesboro,” said Doug Yates, President and CEO of Roush Yates Engines. “The No. 22 Ford Mustang Dark Horse started on the pole and carried that momentum throughout the race for the win. North Wilkesboro brings back a lot of great memories, and to win at this track is special!”

“A lot of fun when you’ve got a car this fast. The Shell-Pennzoil Mustang, it’s just so great to get in Victory Lane. All of our sponsors and everyone who stuck with us to get a win, it feels nice. It’s been a while. I wish it was for points, but a million bucks is still a lot of money and I feel great about that,” commented Logano.

A total of six Ford Performance drivers competed in the All-Star race: Team Penske’s Joey Logano and Ryan Blaney, RFK Racing’s Chris Buescher and Brad Keselowski, Front Row Motorsports’ Michael McDowell, and Stewart-Haas Racing’s Noah Gragson after winning the fan vote.

After starting on the pole, Joey Logano led the entire first 100-lap segment of the race before taking a mandatory 4-tire pit stop under caution. Logano’s team opted for soft tires and won the race off pit road. Logano led all the way through the scheduled caution on lap 150 and opted to stay on track to maintain the lead. At the end of the race, Logano battled the No. 11 car before distancing himself from the field to win. In total, Logano led a record 199 laps of the 200-lap race.

Four Ford Performance drivers finished in the top 10: RFK Racing’s Chris Buescher finished in P3, Team Penke’s Ryan Blaney in P5, and Front Row Motorsports’ Michael McDowell in P9.

AUSTIN CINDRIC WINS AT GATEWAY WITH A LAST LAP PASS

MADISON, IL – June 3, 2024 – Austin Cindric won the Enjoy Illinois 300 at World Wide Technology Raceway on Sunday marking his second career NASCAR Cup Series win, first of the season, and first at Gateway. This win also marked Ford’s 730th NASCAR Cup Series win and second at WWTR after Team Penske’s Joey Logano won the inaugural race in 2022.

“Congratulations to Roger, Tim, Brian, Austin and everyone at Team Penske on the win at Gateway,” said Doug Yates, President and CEO of Roush Yates Engines. “Austin started on the front row and carried that momentum throughout the long green flag runs to be in the right position to win at the end.”

“Honestly, I’m heartbroken for the 12 team. I don’t know what happened to them at the end of the race, but they deserved to win this race. Ryan has been a hell of a leader on this team. This weekend was a great weekend for everybody involved. To have two cars in the fight and an eventual one-two there, like I said, I’m heartbroken for those guys, but this is huge for me. This is huge for this team. I’m so glad I was able to get a win with Brian as my crew chief in the Cup Series. You never know when it’s gonna happen again. I just drove my butt off and hoped for the best,” commented Cindric.

Ford Performance drivers started the Enjoy Illinois 300 1-2-3 with Front Row Motorsports’ Michael McDowell on the pole along with Team Penske teammates Austin Cindric in P2 and Ryan Blaney in P3. McDowell led most of the first stage of the race before Christopher Bell made a pass during the closing laps. Stage 2 ended with Christopher Bell winning the stage as hard-charging Austin Cindric was just one second behind him. A cycle of green flag pit stops and different pit strategies shuffled the field in the final stage of the race. The three Team Penske cars of Cindric, Blaney and Logano did not pit in the break between the second and third stages, putting them in position to compete for the win at the end. Christopher Bell and Ryan Blaney battled for the lead until Bell slowly started to fall back. Blaney took the lead and maintained it until coming to the white flag but slowed after running out of fuel. Teammate Austin Cindric passed him at the start-finish line to lead the final lap and win over second-place Denny Hamlin by 3.844 seconds.

Four Ford Performance drivers finished in the top 10: RFK Racing’s Brad Keselowski finished in P3, Team Penske’s Joey Logano in P5, and Rick Ware Racing’s Justin Haley in P9.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series raced at Portland International Raceway on Saturday. Stewart-Haas Racing’s Cole Custer finished in P6 while teammate Riley Herbst finished in P10.

NEWTON, IA – June 17, 2024 – Ryan Blaney won the inaugural Iowa Corn 350 powered by Ethanol at Iowa Speedway on Sunday marking his first win of the season, 11th of his career, and second inaugural race win after winning the Charlotte Roval in 2018. This win also marked Ford’s 731st NASCAR Cup Series win and Team Penske’s 95th series win with Ford.

Congratulations to Roger, Tim, Jonathan, Ryan and everyone at Team Penske on the inaugural win at Iowa,” said Doug Yates, President and CEO of Roush Yates Engines. “Jonathan and Ryan started up front, carried speed throughout the race, and capitalized on pit strategy for the race win.”

“What a cool way to win here. This place means a lot to me and means a lot to my mom. We had a lot of people here tonight cheering us on, so they willed us to that one. Overall, I really appreciate the whole 12 boys. I mean, our car was really fast all night and we got a little bit better through the night and two tires was a good call there. I didn’t know how well I was gonna hold on. I started to struggle a little bit at the end, but had enough to hang on. I’m super proud of the effort. I appreciate Advance Auto Parts, Ford, Ford Performance, Menards, Discount Tire, Wurth, Snap On, DEX Imaging, Wabash – everything they do. It makes up a little bit from a couple weeks ago,” commented Blaney.

Sunday’s 350 lap race started with four Ford Performance drivers in the top-10: Team Penske’s Ryan Blaney in P2, Stewart-Haas Racing’s Josh Berry in P3, Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing’s Brad Keselowski in P5, and Stewart-Haas Racing’s Chase Briscoe in P6. A caution on lap 51 allowed Blaney to gain momentum on the outside line and win the first stage over second-place Kyle Larson. Larson and Blaney battled throughout the entire first half of the race until a wreck during the final stage. The Team Penske No. 12 made the call to take two tires on the last pit stop to restart in the front and led the final 88 laps of the race. In total, Blaney led a career-high 201 laps during the race to finish 0.716 seconds over second place William Byron. Blaney has now won at Iowa Speedway in all three NASCAR national series, having won in the Craftsman Truck Series in 2012 and Xfinity Series in 2015.

Four Ford Performance drivers finished in the top 10: Team Penske’s Joey Logano in P6, Stewart-Haas Racing’s Josh Berry in P7, and RFK Racing’s Brad Keselowski in P10.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series also raced at Iowa Speedway on Saturday. Stewart-Haas Racing’s Riley Herbst finished in P2 along with teammate Cole Custer in P6 and RSS Racing’s Matt DiBenedetto in P7.

JOEY LOGANO WINS AT NASHVILLE FOLLOWING FIVE OVERTIME RESTARTS

LEBANON, TN – July 1, 2024 – Joey Logano won Sunday’s Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway, marking his first points win of the season, 33rd of his career, and his first win at Nashville. The win also marked the first NASCAR Cup Series win for Ford at Nashville and 732nd series win overall for the manufacturer.

“Congratulations to Roger, Tim, Paul, Joey and everyone at Team Penske on the race win at Nashville,” said Doug Yates, President and CEO of Roush Yates Engines. “Paul and Joey were able to maximize fuel throughout the end of the race and five overtime restarts to be in the position to win at the end.”

“A lot of teamwork there. You have to give a lot of credit to our fueler, Nick Hensley, our engine department with Roush Yates building obviously some engines that could also manage fuel really well, and some guts,” commented Logano.

Four Ford Performance drivers started Sunday’s race from the top-10: Stewart-Haas Racing’s Josh Berry in P2, RFK Racing’s Brad Keselowski in P5 and Chris Buescher in P9, along with Team Penske’s Austin Cindric in P10. At lap 136, the race was red-flagged for lightning and rain in the area. Following a one hour and 21-minute weather delay, NASCAR brought out the yellow flag and allowed cars to change tires and refuel before the race restarted. The race went green a few minutes later with 159 laps remaining and 45 laps until the end of Stage 2. A caution on lap 218 of the scheduled 300 lap race allowed teams to pit for tires and fuel, which impacted late race strategy. With 20 laps remaining in the race, Denny Hamlin and Ross Chastain batted for the lead until a caution came out with 2 laps to go, extending the race into overtime. Several more cautions pushed the race into its fourth overtime restart, allowing Team Penske’s Joey Logano and Stewart-Haas Racing’s Chase Briscoe to restart on the front row. Another crash brought out the caution just before Logano took the white flag, triggering the fifth and final restart. Logano started on the inside of the front row with Chase Briscoe on his outside. Logano perfected the final restart as Chase Briscoe’s car ran out of fuel with 1 lap remaining. Logano finished the race 0.068 seconds ahead of second place Zane Smith.

Five Ford Performance drivers finished in the top 10: Stewart-Haas Racing’s Ryan Preece in P4, RFK Racing’s Chris Buescher in P5, Team Penske’s Ryan Blaney in P6, and Stewart-Haas Racing’s Noah Gragson in P10.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series also raced at Nashville Superspeedway on Saturday. Rette Jones Racing’s Noah Gragson finished in P5 along with Stewart-Haas Racing’s Riley Herbst in P6 and Cole Custer in P9.

The NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series both compete this weekend at the Chicago street course in downtown Chicago, Illinois.

LONG POND, PA – July 15, 2024 – Ryan Blaney won the Great American Getaway 400 at Pocono Raceway on Sunday marking his second win of the season, 12th of his career, and second at Pocono. Stewart-Haas Racing’s Cole Custer also won the Explore the Pocono Mountains 225 on Saturday in the Xfinity Series, completing a weekend sweep for the Ford Mustang Dark Horse.

“Congratulations to Ford Performance, Team Penske, and Stewart-Haas Racing on the wins at Pocono” said Doug Yates, President and CEO of Roush Yates Engines. “Pocono is a special track to Roush Yates Engines as we had our first win with the FR9 engine in 2010 with Greg Biffle. To see Ryan and Cole win these races showcases all the dedication and hard work by our Ford Performance teams.”

Sunday’s 160-lap race started with three Ford Performance drivers in the top-10: Stewart-Haas Racing’s Josh Berry in P5 along with Team Penske’s Ryan Blaney in P8 and Joey Logano in P10. After the first stage ended, Team Penske’s Joey Logano and RFK Racing’s Brad Keselowski started on the front row in Stage 2. Prior to the end of Stage 2, Team Penske’s Ryan Blaney and RFK Racing’s Chris Buescher took fuel and fresh tires that lasted until the end of the race. As stage 3 began, Buescher took the lead with Blaney right behind him. With 40 laps remaining, Blaney took the lead and maintained it throughout multiple restarts. Blaney won over second place Denny Hamlin by 1.312 seconds.

“I think we are in a better spot at this time this year than where we were last year at this point. I feel like our speed is better. Our execution is great. We are doing everything as a 12 group the best that we can. We have had some other unforeseen circumstances that have hindered some finishes and possible wins. I am so proud of this Team Penske group. All the men and women at the race shop, they work their butts off to try to get better and deal with the drivers when they say we need to get a lot better. I appreciate them and Roush Yates Engines and all the work they do and continue to do. Go USA,” commented Blaney

Team Penske’s Joey Logano finished in P5 and RFK Racing’s Brad Keselowski finished in P7.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series also raced at Pocono on Saturday. Stewart-Haas Racing’s Cole Custer took the lead from Justin Allgaier on a restart with nine laps remaining and maintained the lead until the end of the race, beating Allgaier to the checkered flag by .670 seconds. The victory marked Custer’s first win of the 2024 season and second at Pocono. Custer becomes the first driver to win multiple Xfinity Series races at the track following his first win in 2019. The win also allowed Custer to extend his lead in the Xfinity Series point standings and now holds a 51-point advantage over second place Justin Allgaier.

“This means so much. These guys have worked so hard this year and just haven’t gotten that final result. It is awesome to get it here at Pocono. This is such an awesome race track that is hard to win at. I can’t thank all of them enough. An unbelievable car. Doug Yates gave us awesome Roush Yates horsepower,” commented Custer.

Stewart-Haas Racing’s Riley Herbst finished Saturday’s race in P11 and RSS Racing’s Ryan Sieg finished in P12.

The NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series both compete this weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indianapolis, Indiana.
