LEBANON, TN – July 1, 2024 – Joey Logano won Sunday’s Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway, marking his first points win of the season, 33rd of his career, and his first win at Nashville. The win also marked the first NASCAR Cup Series win for Ford at Nashville and 732nd series win overall for the manufacturer.

“Congratulations to Roger, Tim, Paul, Joey and everyone at Team Penske on the race win at Nashville,” said Doug Yates, President and CEO of Roush Yates Engines. “Paul and Joey were able to maximize fuel throughout the end of the race and five overtime restarts to be in the position to win at the end.”

“A lot of teamwork there. You have to give a lot of credit to our fueler, Nick Hensley, our engine department with Roush Yates building obviously some engines that could also manage fuel really well, and some guts,” commented Logano.

Four Ford Performance drivers started Sunday’s race from the top-10: Stewart-Haas Racing’s Josh Berry in P2, RFK Racing’s Brad Keselowski in P5 and Chris Buescher in P9, along with Team Penske’s Austin Cindric in P10. At lap 136, the race was red-flagged for lightning and rain in the area. Following a one hour and 21-minute weather delay, NASCAR brought out the yellow flag and allowed cars to change tires and refuel before the race restarted. The race went green a few minutes later with 159 laps remaining and 45 laps until the end of Stage 2. A caution on lap 218 of the scheduled 300 lap race allowed teams to pit for tires and fuel, which impacted late race strategy. With 20 laps remaining in the race, Denny Hamlin and Ross Chastain batted for the lead until a caution came out with 2 laps to go, extending the race into overtime. Several more cautions pushed the race into its fourth overtime restart, allowing Team Penske’s Joey Logano and Stewart-Haas Racing’s Chase Briscoe to restart on the front row. Another crash brought out the caution just before Logano took the white flag, triggering the fifth and final restart. Logano started on the inside of the front row with Chase Briscoe on his outside. Logano perfected the final restart as Chase Briscoe’s car ran out of fuel with 1 lap remaining. Logano finished the race 0.068 seconds ahead of second place Zane Smith.

Five Ford Performance drivers finished in the top 10: Stewart-Haas Racing’s Ryan Preece in P4, RFK Racing’s Chris Buescher in P5, Team Penske’s Ryan Blaney in P6, and Stewart-Haas Racing’s Noah Gragson in P10.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series also raced at Nashville Superspeedway on Saturday. Rette Jones Racing’s Noah Gragson finished in P5 along with Stewart-Haas Racing’s Riley Herbst in P6 and Cole Custer in P9.

The NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series both compete this weekend at the Chicago street course in downtown Chicago, Illinois.

LONG POND, PA – July 15, 2024 – Ryan Blaney won the Great American Getaway 400 at Pocono Raceway on Sunday marking his second win of the season, 12th of his career, and second at Pocono. Stewart-Haas Racing’s Cole Custer also won the Explore the Pocono Mountains 225 on Saturday in the Xfinity Series, completing a weekend sweep for the Ford Mustang Dark Horse.

“Congratulations to Ford Performance, Team Penske, and Stewart-Haas Racing on the wins at Pocono” said Doug Yates, President and CEO of Roush Yates Engines. “Pocono is a special track to Roush Yates Engines as we had our first win with the FR9 engine in 2010 with Greg Biffle. To see Ryan and Cole win these races showcases all the dedication and hard work by our Ford Performance teams.”

Sunday’s 160-lap race started with three Ford Performance drivers in the top-10: Stewart-Haas Racing’s Josh Berry in P5 along with Team Penske’s Ryan Blaney in P8 and Joey Logano in P10. After the first stage ended, Team Penske’s Joey Logano and RFK Racing’s Brad Keselowski started on the front row in Stage 2. Prior to the end of Stage 2, Team Penske’s Ryan Blaney and RFK Racing’s Chris Buescher took fuel and fresh tires that lasted until the end of the race. As stage 3 began, Buescher took the lead with Blaney right behind him. With 40 laps remaining, Blaney took the lead and maintained it throughout multiple restarts. Blaney won over second place Denny Hamlin by 1.312 seconds.

“I think we are in a better spot at this time this year than where we were last year at this point. I feel like our speed is better. Our execution is great. We are doing everything as a 12 group the best that we can. We have had some other unforeseen circumstances that have hindered some finishes and possible wins. I am so proud of this Team Penske group. All the men and women at the race shop, they work their butts off to try to get better and deal with the drivers when they say we need to get a lot better. I appreciate them and Roush Yates Engines and all the work they do and continue to do. Go USA,” commented Blaney

Team Penske’s Joey Logano finished in P5 and RFK Racing’s Brad Keselowski finished in P7.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series also raced at Pocono on Saturday. Stewart-Haas Racing’s Cole Custer took the lead from Justin Allgaier on a restart with nine laps remaining and maintained the lead until the end of the race, beating Allgaier to the checkered flag by .670 seconds. The victory marked Custer’s first win of the 2024 season and second at Pocono. Custer becomes the first driver to win multiple Xfinity Series races at the track following his first win in 2019. The win also allowed Custer to extend his lead in the Xfinity Series point standings and now holds a 51-point advantage over second place Justin Allgaier.

“This means so much. These guys have worked so hard this year and just haven’t gotten that final result. It is awesome to get it here at Pocono. This is such an awesome race track that is hard to win at. I can’t thank all of them enough. An unbelievable car. Doug Yates gave us awesome Roush Yates horsepower,” commented Custer.

Stewart-Haas Racing’s Riley Herbst finished Saturday’s race in P11 and RSS Racing’s Ryan Sieg finished in P12.

The NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series both compete this weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indianapolis, Indiana.

HERBST WINS IN INDIANAPOLIS TO COMPLETE A STEWART-HAAS RACING FRONT ROW SWEEP

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – July 22, 2024 – Stewart-Haas Racing’s Riley Herbst won Saturday’s Pennzoil 250 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, marking his first win of the season and ninth top-10. The win also marked Stewart-Haas Racing’s 27th Xfinity Series victory and 103rd win overall.

“Congratulations to Tony, Gene, Davin, Riley, and everyone at Stewart-Haas Racing on the race win at Indianapolis,” said Doug Yates, President and CEO of Roush Yates Engines. “Both Stewart-Haas cars were fast in qualifying and throughout the race. It’s always special to win here and excited to be back on the oval!”

“This is Indianapolis. This is the most famous racetrack in the world and it is an honor just to walk in this place, let alone win. We had speed all year and I felt like we could win but I just messed up on the restarts a little bit. It was a good fight. I thought I had Cole clear and then he slid bottom of three with the 20 and I thought it was going to be tough. I just continued to work. It has been a pretty tough week on me mentally to be honest with you. I am proud of these guys and everybody at Stewart-Haas Racing,” commented Herbst.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Brickyard 400, both the NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series returned to the 2.5-mile oval at Indianapolis Motor Speedway this year after previously racing on the road course. Stewart-Haas Racing teammates Cole Custer and Riley Herbst swept the front row in Xfinity Series qualifying with Custer on the pole and Herbst on the outside of the front row. Custer was out front for the beginning of the race until a caution on lap 18 created different pit strategies and most cars decided to pit. Riley Herbst opted to stay out instead of pitting to win Stage 1, earning 10 bonus points and one playoff point. On lap 56, RSS Racing’s Ryan Sieg was one of three cars that stayed out instead of pitting, cycling him to the front of the field. Following a one lap shootout until the end of the stage, Sieg was able to hold off second place Aric Almirola to take the stage win. The last stage of the race came down to a battle between Riley Herbst, Cole Custer, and Aric Almirola. On turn 4 of the last lap, Herbst made the race-winning pass on Aric Almirola and Cole Custer followed. Herbst finished .167 seconds in front of teammate Cole Custer. The two teammates led 77 of the 100 total laps

Stewart-Haas Racing teammate Cole Custer finished in P2 while RSS Racing’s Ryan Sieg finished in P11.

The NASCAR Cup Series also raced at Indianapolis on Sunday. Team Penske’s Ryan Blaney finished in P3, Front Row Motorsports’ Todd Gilliland in P6, Team Penske’s Austin Cindric in P7, and Stewart-Haas Racing’s Noah Gragson in P9.

Both the Xfinity and Cup Series take a break for the Olympics and racing resumes on August 11th with the Cup Series race at Richmond.
